Behavior Modification

Where Families Come After Everyone Else Has Said No

If you’re researching aggressive dog training, you’ve likely already heard hard words — from a trainer who declined, a daycare that dismissed your dog, maybe a vet who mentioned the unthinkable. Hear this instead: aggression is a behavior problem, and behavior problems have a science.

Our behavior modification program begins with an unflinching evaluation — temperament, bite history, triggers, household dynamics. From it we build a rehabilitation plan executed through full immersion, with trainers who live on-site managing your dog’s environment around the clock. Safety, structure, and consistency: the three things an aggressive dog has usually never had all at once.

This is work for professionals with real depth — ours comes from 25+ years of training, hundreds of police K9s prepared for the street, and national championship titles in the most demanding protection sport in the country. We understand drive, arousal, and thresholds at a level few trainers ever encounter. That’s why we get results with dogs other trainers turned away.

Included in the Program

The Rehabilitation Standard
  • Private evaluation with honest, expert assessment
  • Custom behavior modification plan for your dog’s case
  • Full immersion with trainers residing on-site 24/7
  • Safe, structured reintroduction to household routines
  • Family handoff training and lifetime trainer support

What We Rehabilitate

Aggression & Behavior Issues We Turn Around

Every case is different — the evaluation tells us what we’re truly dealing with, and the program is built from there.

Dog & Human Aggression

Growling, snapping, or biting directed at other dogs, strangers, or even family members. We identify what drives it — fear, resource, territory, frustration — and rehabilitate the cause, not just the symptom, in a professionally managed environment.

Biting & Resource Guarding

A dog who guards food, toys, furniture, or people is making decisions no dog should have to make. We restore clear structure and teach your dog that surrendering resources is safe — eliminating the conflict at its root.

Severe Anxiety & Fear

Fear bites are still bites. For dogs whose aggression grows from anxiety, we rebuild confidence through predictable structure, careful socialization, and calm leadership — turning a dog who reacts out of panic into one who defers to you.

Board & Train Rehabilitation

Serious behavior modification requires total environmental control, which is why aggression cases enter our signature Board & Train residency — immersion with champions-level trainers who live where your dog trains.

How Your Dog's Residency Works

The Evaluation

Every residency begins with a complimentary evaluation. We assess your dog's temperament, history, and your family's goals — then design a training plan specific to your dog. No two programs here are identical.

The Immersion

Your dog moves into the academy. Training is woven through every part of the day and proofed in real-world settings — with trainers on the property around the clock, not visiting between shifts. You receive regular updates throughout.

The Homecoming

We return your dog to your door, then teach you everything they've learned through private handoff lessons. Refresher sessions and lifetime trainer support keep the results permanent.

Questions

Aggressive Dog Training, Answered

Can an aggressive dog really be rehabilitated?
In the great majority of cases, yes. Aggression is behavior, and behavior responds to correct diagnosis, environmental control, and expert consistency — exactly what our immersion program provides. Our reputation in Pennsylvania and Maryland was built on dogs other trainers couldn’t turn around.
My dog has bitten someone. Will you still take them?
Yes. Bite histories are precisely why families come to us. Every case starts with a private evaluation where we assess honestly — including what management will look like after training. You’ll never get false promises from us, and you’ll never get judgment either.
What is behavior modification, exactly?
Behavior modification goes deeper than obedience. Commands teach a dog what to do; behavior modification changes how a dog feels and makes decisions — around triggers, resources, strangers, and stress. It requires controlling the dog’s entire environment, which is why ours is delivered through immersion with trainers in residence.
Why trust Stateline over other aggressive dog training near me?
Depth of experience. A 5× PSA National Champion with 25+ years in professional dog training, hundreds of police K9s trained for the street, and a private 11,000 sq ft facility built for exactly this work. Aggression cases demand mastery — not a franchise curriculum.
How do we get started?
Book a free evaluation below or call 717-632-1111. We'll meet your dog, discuss your goals, and design their program. Our trainers work with a small number of dogs at a time, so we recommend scheduling your evaluation early.
